Main Article Content
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the patterns of BPJS Health service utilization by the community in Indragiri Hilir Regency, Riau Province. As an area with a relatively complex and diverse geographical conditions, Indragiri Hilir faces challenges in equitable access to health services. The method used in this research is quantitative descriptive, with secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and related health institutions. The results show that the participation rate of BPJS Health in several sub-districts, such as Tembilahan, Keritang, and Kateman, is relatively high. However, significant disparities still exist in coastal and remote areas such as Sungai Batang, Teluk Belengkong, and Pulau Burung. In addition to geographical factors, low health literacy and limited access to information are also the main causes. It was also found that there are discrepancies in membership data, indicating the need for regular data updates and verification. This study recommends the need for more inclusive and adaptive strategies, especially in reaching remote areas, to achieve equitable access to health services for all people.
