Information System for Operational Vehicle Fuel Filling Based on Barcode at Gas Station KM 8

Abstract
In the digital era that demands efficiency and transparency, manual recording of operational vehicle fuel usage at SPBU KM8 Indragiri Hilir presents several issues, such as potential errors, data manipulation, and difficulties in monitoring [1]. This study proposes a barcode-based information system that enables unique vehicle identification, automatic recording, fuel quota limitation, and real-time reporting [2], designed to improve operational efficiency and transparency in fuel usage [15]. Usability testing involving 25 respondents—composed of vehicle operators and SPBU staff—showed evaluation scores above 84% across all aspects, with the highest satisfaction level reaching 94%, indicating that the system is easy to learn, easy to use, and provides a positive user experience [16]. Compared to conventional methods, the system offers advantages in speed, accuracy, and ease of data auditing [12], making it a feasible modern solution for managing operational vehicle fuel usage and contributing significantly to efficiency and accountability within SPBU operations and related organizations [17].
