Web-Based Cashier Application and Profit Recording Information System at Kedai Kopi Nusa

Abstract
In the digital era, many micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) still record sales and profits conventionally, which often leads to inefficiency and inaccurate data recording. This study aims to develop a web-based cashier and profit recording system for Kedai Kopi Nusa in Tembilahan using a qualitative approach with the waterfall system development model. The application was built using PHP, MySQL, and UML modeling, and is equipped with features such as transaction processing, automatic profit calculation, stock management, and financial reporting. System testing was carried out through functionality testing and usability testing. The functionality test results showed a 100% success rate (625/625 test scenarios successful), indicating that all features worked as expected, while the usability test with 25 respondents resulted in an average score of 87.64%, categorized as very good. Overall, the system proved to improve operational efficiency, reduce errors in manual recording, and provide timely financial reports, and its implementation is expected to enhance customer service quality and strengthen business competitiveness through digital transformation.
