Web-Based Cashier Information System at Boo-Boo Petshop

Abstract

Boo-boo Petshop is a business engaged in the sale of pet products located in Tembilahan. In its operational activities, Boo-boo Petshop still uses manual methods for recording transactions, managing stock items, and financial reporting. These manual methods often cause problems such as the risk of data loss, recording errors, reporting delays, and difficulties in decision-making. To address these issues, this study aims to design and develop a web-based cashier information system that can be used to manage sales transactions, stock inventory, and reporting automatically and in a computerized manner. The system development method used is the Waterfall model, which consists of five stages: planning, analysis, design, implementation, and testing. The PIECES approach is applied to analyze problems from various aspects of the system. The test results showed a score of 87.0%, which falls into the "very good" category, indicating that the system functions well, increases the speed of transaction recording, reduces errors, and provides accurate data that can be accessed in real-time. This application improves work efficiency, reduces recording errors, and allows business owners to monitor store operations in real-time from anywhere.
