Designing a Inventory Application System Using the Waterfall Development Method

Abstract
The development of information technology drives the need for information systems that can effectively and efficiently manage inventory data. The inventory information system is designed to facilitate the processes of recording, managing, and reporting the stock of goods stored in warehouses and stores. Given the numerous types of goods and transactions involving the movement of goods, a web-based system is required to handle data centrally and in real-time. This research uses the Waterfall method because it has a structured phase, starting from needs analysis, system design, implementation, testing, to maintenance. The results of the implementation show that the system can improve the efficiency of record-keeping and reduce the risk of data loss due to human error. With this system, the inventory management process becomes faster, more accurate, and easily accessible by various parties.
