SWOT Analysis of the Use of a POS Application for Sales Transaction Recording at RZ Kids Store Tembilahan

Abstract
RZ Kids Store Tembilahan is a micro enterprise in the children's clothing sector, still relying on manual transaction recording. This causes problems such as errors, limited oversight, and inefficiency. This study aims to evaluate the store’s readiness to implement a digital cashier application (Point of Sale/POS) as a modern solution to replace the manual system. The research uses SWOT analysis to identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of adopting the POS system in RZ Kids Store. The results show that the application has the potential to improve operational efficiency, reduce recording errors, facilitate inventory management, and support faster and more accurate sales reporting. However, challenges such as implementation costs and staff training need to be considered. Overall, adopting a digital cashier system is a strategic step to enhance the competitiveness of micro businesses like RZ Kids Store.
